Drive for rolling mill calibration device. Calibration roll adjustment as worm gear. On the rolled steel plates, not only the plate thickness must be maintained, but also the width and length of the plates. During the rolling process, the plates are pressed through a calibrating device that acts on both sides. The worm gear manufactured by Kachelmann has a multi-wedge profile in the worm gear holder. This makes it possible to set the calibration spindle to size and simultaneously retract it via the wedge profile. This allows different dimensions to be calibrated.
