Project description:
The development of the prototypes of the agitator gearboxes in the 1970s already took place in co-operation between KACHELMANN GETRIEBE and BASF engineers. Until the patents expired, KACHELMANN GETRIEBE was recommended as a gearbox supplier for all licencees.
Over the last 30 years, the know-how has been constantly developed further. Kachelmann agitator drives are in operation in more than 10 countries worldwide. The precise matching of the gearboxes to the requirements of the chemists and process engineers guarantees flawless processing of products such as polypropylene.
KACHELMANN GETRIEBE offers agitator gearboxes as top drive or bottom drive (agitator bottom drive/agitator top drive).
At present, agitator drives (top drive/bottom drive) can be offered for boilers with a volume of 25 m³, 75 m³ and 100 m³. Adaptations to structural conditions through special designs can be integrated at any time. The gearboxes shown here are two identical agitator bottom drives.
Special feature: Quick-change device
- Designed as a high-performance spur gear for 24-hour continuous operation.
- Double-acting mechanical seal with barrier pressure system.
- Effective and efficient replacement of the mechanical seal using a quick-change device specially developed by Kachelmann.
- Oil supply system for gearing and roller bearings - also with remote maintenance on request.
- Hydraulically controlled travelling device (with remote control).
